Join members and guests on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 for an evening shucking oysters, sipping cocktails, bidding on auction items, and professional networking in a relaxed setting among key representatives from leading companies involved in international trade. Hosted at the Charleston Harbor Resort at Patriots Point, and overlooking Charleston harbor from the resort’s covered terrace and beach area, party goers will enjoy good company, a spectacular sunset, city lights from across the harbor, and an up-close view of cargo ships passing through the harbor. Green oysters can be good!

CWIT will join the more than 10 Charleston business and organizations in the SC State Ports Authority’s “Pledge for Growth,” recycling 100% of oyster shells from the event. SCDNR, through their SC Oyster Restoration and Enhancement (SCORE) program, will utilize shells in the restoration of oyster reefs in and around Charleston Harbor. Charleston Harbor Resort has agreed to hold the shells overnight in order to allow the recycling to take place. Click to read more!
